Established in 2000 by Abdul Muthaliff as a sheet glass & mirror merchant business in Colombo, Sri Lanka.  Started as a small scale trading company and eventually grew as one of the few wholesale merchants in the town. 

In 2010, Abdul Mujeeb was appointed to spearhead the company and as a result Firo Glass Company was formed. Under Abdul Mujeeb’s leadership Firo Glass Company began to import sheet glass, float glass & mirrors from China and India. For his visionary thinking and risk- tolerance, the firm was upgraded to a Limited Liability Company in 2016 to attract more affluent stakeholders for expansion of company operations and upturn the revenue. 

As the company grew it started to manufacture architectural hardware in 2017 for tempered glass installation systems. Simultaneously, supply began for both tempered glass and architectural hardware for residential and commercial projects under brand name “FGC” in 2018. The company experienced a rapid growth in architectural hardware supply and noticed a huge demand in products and services among the Sri Lankan customers. FGC is renowned for its’ high quality products and is the one of the few registered brands for construction hardware products in Sri Lanka. 

In 2020, FGC Design Studio, the interior design unit was added as a function to offer a value-added service for customers to visualize the final outcome of the installation before it can be actually built-in. This service was delivered for tempered glass installations and modern architectural projects for renowned construction companies and developers.
